‘One of our most exciting young writers’

The Times

My plays include Visitors (produced nationally and internationally at theatres including the Arcola, the Bush, the Watermill, Oldham Coliseum, National Theatre Latvia, Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse and others, 2014 – 23), Eventide (Up In Arms, Arcola and tour, 2015), While We’re Here (Up In Arms, Bush and tour, 2017), Echo’s End (Salisbury Playhouse, 2017) and Nightfall (Bridge Theatre, 2018). I’ve also adapted Ishiguro’s The Remains of the Day (Out of Joint, Royal and Derngate and Oxford Playhouse, 2019) and Lorca’s Blood Wedding (Wiltshire Creative, 2020) for the stage, and created two autobiographical works, The Wellspring (first written as a book project with my father, David Owen Norris, for the publisher Seren in 2018, then written and performed as a show for the Royal and Derngate and touring, 2022) and We Started To Sing (Arcola Theatre, 2022).

My novels Undercurrent, Five Rivers Met On A Wooded Plain, Turning For Home and The Vanishing Hours are published by Doubleday.
